Results are usually available within 48 hours
We understand how taxing it can be calling pathology companies looking for results with a patient in front of you, which is why we pride ourselves on our fast results! Be confident that your patients’ results will be available before your follow up appointment.
Copy as many colleagues or locations as you need. We can tailor your settings to you preferences – if you want all results from a hospital automatically forwarded to your rooms let us know and we can arrange that.
If we can, we will bulk bill.
Send to us with confidence that your patient will receive the lowest bill possible. Never have an awkward conversation about Pathology Billing again! We bulk bill all eligible patients. Overseas Visitors will be charged the 100% Schedule Fee, which will be fully reimbursable on their compulsory Overseas Health Cover.
If specialist genetic stains are required, which are not covered by Medicare, the patient will receive a bill for those services at the amount charged by Peter Mac. This is a very niche segment and would apply in less than 0.01% of cases.
We are a specialist histopathology laboratory
We are accredited to ISO 15189. Our Pathologists are all experienced & list their mobile number on each report so that you can contact them directly with any queries or concerns.
Labelling
We know this is boring – but it happens more than you think! It is vital that your specimens are labelled correctly. All specimens submitted to the laboratory should be fully identified (labelled) and accompanied by a written request signed by a medical practitioner or other authorised person.
Specimens which are inadequately identified or of inadequate quality for the test requested may be rejected by the pathologist. Please contact the lab if you have questions about sample labelling.
